Data-driven decision making is now possible with real-time data accessible through PowerSchool. With a centralized database, as soon as any information is added or changed it’s available to everyone. This means that absentee lists can be printed as soon as each teacher records attendance. It is also immediately available to parents and students via the Internet. Administrators, teachers, parents, and students do not have to wait for the latest download or upload to know that they have the most current data. This is not necessarily the case with web-enabled systems. PowerSchool provides choice and flexibility to schools by maintaining platform independence. Any computer using a standard web browser can access PowerSchool, saving the district thousands of dollars on hardware and maintenance costs. The end user can access PowerSchool with a Mac or a PC. Additionally, PowerSchool is supported on a variety of server platforms and database options.
