PUSD will run on an early release schedule on Tuesday, October 29, due to muddy road conditions. Buses will run on the mud route schedule. There will be no after school activity buses.

Monday, September 30--PUSD will operate on a regular day schedule with no after-school activities. We are aware of social media threats being made against area schools and we will have additional security measures in place to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Many of these social media posts are spreading false information.
Parents, you are the first line of security for our campus. Please be sure to check all bags and backpacks before your children leave for school.
We do take all threats seriously. If you have information regarding any direct threats to PUSD, please contact the school offices or law enforcement to report.

Greetings PUSD, Friday, August 23, willl be a virtual learning day due to the extremely muddy road conditions. It will be an early release day following the normal Friday schedule. Campus will be open for students that have their own transportation but school buses will not run. All students do need to check in for attendance and class work following the procedures set at each school. It is an on campus work day for all PUSD staff. Thank you and have a great day!

PUSD will have a full day schedule on Tuesday, March 26. Buses will run on main roads only. There will be no after school activity buses.

There will be no school on Monday, April 8, due to the solar eclipse that will be visible from Pinon. The timing of the eclipse makes an early release day impossible. A virtual day would require students and staff to be engaged on their computers during the eclipse. Online learning would not be possible for our students and staff who practice traditional Navajo beliefs regarding the eclipse. The times for the eclipse in Pinon are listed in the attached graphic.
This will be mud day #9 or #10, depending on what happens with our weather before the day of the eclipse.
Students and 10-month staff will not report on April 8.
All 11-month and 12-month staff will report as usual. They can work their regular hours, take leave, or work out an alternate schedule for the week with their supervisor's approval.

The PUSD virtual learning day on Monday, March 25, will follow the early release schedule.
Campus will be open from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm for students that have their own transportation to campus.
The instructional day will begin at 8:00 am and end at 1:30 pm.
All students do need to check-in on virtual learning days.
